hi, in a couple of days im gonna make my second build, and this time i want to make one for gaming only, and leave the current one for school purposes.

another thing that concerns me is that i've read that the 7300 GT's fan seems to be deffective. the price on those two cards doesnt concern me though becuase they are within my budget.
i highly appriciate any help.

Well if they both have the same amount and speed of memory, isn't the 7600GS the better choice? I'd think so.

Edit: Corrected.

he said 7600gs :)

7300gt vs 7600gs? 7600gs definitely. the 7600gs beats this 7300gt easily. There is also a GDDR3 version of the 7300gt, I believe it comes quite close to the 7600gs, but don't quote me on that. However, if you're going to choose between these two, the 7600gs wins.

on a side note, if you've got another 50 dollars(or so) to spare, you might want to consider the GT version, although I'm pretty sure you are looking at the GS version for a good reason :) good luck!
