New computer?

Hi everyone.

I want to start off by apologizing, I know there have been a lot of threads on this already, but PLEASE don't turn me away.

Here we go...Sims 2...please don't go!

I waited a long time to buy it because I knew my laptop wouldn't be able to handle it, but I'm living with my husband now, and I thought his WOULD. Clearly, after trying to install it today, that's not going to happen.

I know that what I need is the graphics card. I'm pretty sure that his doesn't have one...at all. Now, I can't get one put in, right?...because it's a laptop?

So....I was thinking of buying a new PC. I don't have a HUGE budget right now though.

I don't know if this is allowed, I'm sorry if I'm breaking the rules, but can someone tell me if this is a decent one: Computer

I'm so sorry, I tried to figure it out myself with all the requirements and everything, but I just....don't know if I'm missing something you know?

Anyways, any sort of help would be greatly greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!!

Run, run away fast! eMachines have a pretty good history of failing, especially the power supplies. When the power supply goes, it usually take the motherboard and some other components with it. Also, it is a Celeron processor, which are not terribly speedy either.

These are a little bit pricier, but you will fare much better with these. Gamewise, if you are only going to be playing Sims2, you probably don't need to bother with a graphics card. The integrated graphics should be fine. (I can't beleive I said that! lol).
