New memory upgraded in a dell 8200

upgrade memory in my 8200 dell. from 512 to 1024 after upgrade i do not get any display on my computer. if I place the new 2*256 in the computer works ok, if I place the old 2*256 in the computer works ok, but if a place all the memory in the computer 4*256 no display .

Are all four sticks the same? (mfr, speed, etc.)

Did you purchase the 2 "upgrade sticks" together? If so, there should be documentation with them. If not, the chips on each stick will at least give the mfr., along with at least model #s. Go to mfrs' website, and compare those numbers to get the speeds of each pair. If each pair works separately from the other, it sounds like you have a compatibility issue between the memory sticks, not the mobo.
