Okay i need a seminew computer:
If i buy a new ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo
Amd64 2800+
could i use it with a ata 120gb drive?
And 512 ddr sdram?

Should be fine, post the model number of the motherboard if you want to be sure though.

Some things you'll want to confirm:
1)motherboard supports the ram you want to use.
2)motherboard's power needs will be met by your current power supply.
You'll also want to find out what kind of PSU connection your mobo wants (20 or 24 pin). You're fine either way, as you can use an adapter, but good to know ahead of time.
3)Does the new board have integrated graphics?

I don't think your cpu will work with that motherboard, the 2800+ is socket 754 and the asrock dual sata2 is socket 939, altlhough on that board I think you can buy an add in board that has socket 754 on it for some $$.

Yeah it'll work with a 120gb drive.

And ddr sdram should work, what speed do you have though, pc3200 is what you'd want, but pc 2700, pc2100, would work, it'll just be slower.
