No AGP memory Available

I just got a new case and a new Asus P4P800 mobo. I switched all my old compnents over to my new board including my ATI Radeon 9600 pro 128 mb video card. When I attempt to run certain games such as Vice city, or Soldier of Fortune 2, It gives me an error message saying "NO AGP memory available."
I downloaded and ran Nvidias AGP memory tester and it also shows 0 AGP memory total and 0 AGP memory available.

I can't seem to find any way to fix this.
PLEASE HELP!!!

:wave: Hello & Welcome to TechSpot :wave:

It isn't very surprising if NVidia's AGP memory tester doesn't work well with an ATI card, so I wouldn't put too much trust into that result.

Anyways, are you using the latest drivers (cat4.3)?

When you start your computer, go into the BIOS (usually by pressing <delete>), and look around until you find a place where you can set your AGP aperture. Set this to either 128mb or 64mn.
Did that help?

Since you've bought an Asus board, you have a program called AsusUpdate which is used for flashing your BIOS whilst in windows. Use this to see if you've got the latest BIOS installed, and if not download and install the latest version.

If that didn't help either, we're going to need some more info.

Start -> Run -> type in "smartgart" -> Ok
Post what all the AGP settings are at
(Ie. AGP read & write On)

Display -> Properties -> Settings ->Advanced -> SMARTGART (tm)
Post these settings too.
(Ie. AGP 8x, fastwrites off)

This will help us to determine what could be at fault.

Enjoy your stay :)
