Hello, please help......

I have a problem with my PC recently.
When I played DVD movies, the pictures will show on the monitor, but no sound from the speaker.
All system sound is normal.
And I can play MP3 songs, audio CD and VCD movies, no problem.
Just only the DVD having no sound.

Please advice.

I am using the in built Realtek ALC655 AC'97 audio in my mother board, GA-8I915MD-GV.
I have installed the audio drvier recently downloaded from the gigabyte website, but still no use.

Please advice, anyone.
Thanks in advance.

Have you been able to get sound when playing DVD's in the past? With some players you need a cable to connect the dvd player to the sound board.

Im actually having the same problem now, I used to have onboard realtek sound, and it worked fine, and I installed a Creative Audigy 2 ZS and now i have no sound when playing DVD movies, but all other sound is fine, i think its probably related to the tad cable in my case, which i have, but have not yet installed. but with onboard sound, you should need no cables, it should just work. be sure to check all volumes under the speaker icon, double click the speaker icon in your sys tray and go to options, properties, select them all, and make sure none are muted.
