No display coming through my video card

my video card isnt giving a picture to my monitor, my monitor just stays black, i tried another monitor and old crt one and it says no input or something, my card is working and stuff cause i can see the fan going but i cant see a picture through my monitor, it sucks. i have the powercolor x1600xt bravo edition. i hope someone can help me cause if i have to send it away its gonna take a while :(

I think that you might be encountering the black screen bug on your video card. The same thing happened to me until I raised the AGP Voltage in the bios from 1.5v to 1.8v. By the way I have a X1950 Pro AGP 512MB

This might not apply exactly to yours,but read your manual for installing
expansion cards.Also there might be utilities on the cd.I have VGA driver.
This is necessary for any video card.
So as i've said so many time.If you have a computer,you need the manuals
and cd's for all Hardware devices.Especially the Motherboard.

did you power the card?

well it was inserted in my pci express slot like it always is and my comp was turning on so i gather it was getting powered.

its still working and hasnt stuffed up since, thanks for the help though
