No sound thru headphones

I have a Logitech gaming headset plugged into an Audigy 4 soundcard,as well as 6-speakers(5.1)
Proper connections have been made,but no sound thru headphones.The mike and external speakers are fine.
In Control Panel,I even selected headphone as primary speaker setup---Still no sound(externals operated tho!)

How exactly is your headphones plugged in to your PC? For example is it plugged into the front or the back?

It is connected thru the back--seperate jacks for mike and headphone.The mobo has on board sound --but the headphones never worked with it either.That is why I got the Audigy4--5 inputs-3for speakers and the 2 for mike and phones.Is there something in the bios that must be done??

You need to go into your BIOS and disable your on board sound. Your motherboard manual will tell you how to do this.

If your headphones will not work with both your one board soundcard and your plug-in soundcard then I suspect the headphones themselves are faulty.
