Hey Guys, been a while since I've been here but love your site!
I have a weird one on my hands, maybe you guys can help. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or tips.
A friend upgraded his PC and gave me his power supply, motherboard, CPU and RAM.
I installed these parts into a basic ATX case. I turned it on, but no video. I reseated all of the parts, tried two seperate working monitors and two seperate known working video cards, still with no video.
The PC would power on, the fans would spin and I could hear a faint post beep inside the PC somewhere. Since then this is what I've replaced with still no video:
New ATX Case
New Gigabyte Titan motherboard (agp, socket 939)
New CPU (AMD 64 3500+ socket 939, w/ new heatsync)
I plugged in the new motherboard and processor
PC still gets no video, tried reseating ram modules and unplugging everything BUT CPU, mobo and ram, no fix. Also reseated CMOS battery and changed power outlets @ wall.
I've tried two working monitors, two motherboards, two cases, two CPUs.
The only thing I haven't replaced is the RAM modules and the power supply (which works in my older AMD Athlon pc).
Any suggestions? I feel like i've tried everything, but no dice. Thanks!
