Thanks!

Blaming people for not helping you is not a good way to get assistance with your problem. We are not a tech support company, we are a community of people who do this of our own free will. We do it because we like it, not because we get paid to do it. A lot of senior members dislike it when people demand help... it's being selfish to do so. Sometimes you just need to wait for replies. Just an FYI for future posts here.

As to your problem, I'd chance a guess that your sound card might be broken. See if you can borrow one from a friend or buy a nice cheap one from a computer store. Tell us if that works. If it doesn't, then tell us and I'm sure someone will try to solve your problem.

Hi Emocean

Please download System Specs, from here:
https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3100-system-spec.html

And add it to your profile, Here:
https://www.techspot.com/vb/usercp.php (further down this page)

Also you have Xp now (according to old post) so please put that in your user control panel too.

Once this is done, you can then reply back
If there are any unknown hardwares (ie the sound card)
You can you use Unknown Devices detection, from Here:
http://members.datafast.net.au/dft0802/downloads/pci32.zip
It is also advised to update the database with this file (right click; save as)
http://members.datafast.net.au/dft0802/downloads/pcidevs.txt

By doing these small steps, support members, will find it a thousands times easier (!)
And will probably direct you to the exact info links or advice.
It is for your benefit, not ours.
