I have recently purchased a new Nokia 6300 which came with a free 128MB memory card. I also bought a 1GB card as 128MB is too small. When trying to copy all the data to the new card (including the pre-installed apps and games) it stops saying that some items are stored under the secure section of the card.


I read on the web that the Nokia backup software can be used to circumvent this, however when I tried it also refused to copy the secure data.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From How to Copy Contents of Memory Card

I found out that using the ‘Mass Storage’ mode (also called ‘Data transfer’, depending on the phone), it is possible to copy the whole content of the memory card keeping it in the phone. My error was to use the ‘File Manager’ from the PC Suite, which doesn’t show hidden folders.

Unfortunately I have tried this already. The applications seem to be stored in the Secure section of the card, I assume this is why I am having problems copying them.
