Noob need advice: tv card + video card upgrade?

Hello,

I have am XP Media Center PC w/ onboard graphics and a tuner card (specs are below).

I was considering upgrading my video adapter... but got a little confused.

1. Do I need to worry about the TV tuner card conflicting with any new video cards? I also read that some people have conflicts with installing a video card onto a board with onboard video?

2. does the tv card need to configured to work w/ a new video card?

3. Would it be better to just upgrade both cards at the same time to ensure there's no issues?

4. Non video related... the specs for my sound card says 'dolby 5.1'... does that mean that with the right software, I could mix audio in surround sound?

Sorry if they are such noob questions... just trying to learn before I spend any money on this.

Thanks in advance.
