I am attempting to back up my hard drive using the above. I have a newly formatted WD 40GB drive attached with an IDE to USB 2.0 cable. Windows (XP SP2) recognizes this drive and allows me to transfer files to it. When I try to Ghost an image of one of my partitions to the external deivce, I get the following message soon after booting into PC DOS, "Bad or Missing Command Interpreter".
When I reboot, I get a mesage telling me to assign a drive letter to my external device. (already did). I have attached an error message if anyone can decipher it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as Symanatec's site is utterly worthless.
