not able to access interenet under administrater

Hi, I am looking to find out what the problem with a friends computer. She just got a new Emachine computer Winxp installed. She just got DSL installed but the problem is, she can't access the internet under her name. She can under the other name she has on the computer but not hers. They are both set up for aministrater. She has Nortons internet security, spysweeper, and anitvirus on her computer. They both have the same settings for each name so i'm clueless as why she can't access the internet. Please if you could help or direct me somewhere I could get answers I would appreicate it. Thanks for your time.

re-enable the Windows Firewall and then disable Norton - - try again.
The Windows FW will protect INBOUND well enough, and Norton can be confg'd
to control OUTBOUND. If this works, you need to reconfig Norton.

BTW: while I still use NIS, others are highly recommending AVG.
