Not Recognising My Hard Drive.

Hi Guys,
the problem is i have just reloaded my pc(which i have done many times before) and the computer does not recognise one of my hard drives, it's there on device manager but not on my computer. i've been into right click on my computer and onto manage then assign drive letters but it has no drive letter and wont let me assign one , it only gives me the option to delete the partition which i dont want to do

i ain't got go back installed now but it was installed before i reloaded the pc.
so do you think that could be the problem.

When you say you "reloaded" your PC, do you mean you reinstalled XP completely from scratch including reformating the hard disk? Or did you simply do a repair?

Hi,

Reinstalled xp completely inc formating the hard drive.
thing is i have 3 hard drives C,D,E for instance C is what xp is installed onto and always has been. D,E just for other stuff, it's the D drive that i'm having the problem with ? D,E drives i don't touch(formatting)
