I have a sony vaio brand new multiprocessor 3.00 ghz processor, and a gig of ram just got rid of a burnt out geforce 6600. Since I got my computer it doesn't seem that fast at all especially for the specs... I know it's not a hardware issue I think it's something running in the background because I ran on the exact computer with the same problem. I think it may be my display adapter, but I'm not sure could you suggest something... or are there more details you may need to help me, any help is much appreciated.
oh yah forgot to mention games like half life 2 and doom 3 stutter on any graphics setting and I know that my computer can handle it... this was with the geforce 6600 gt OC in, thanks so much for any help
