  1. Hey all,

I'v just put together my computer and in booting up my system to install Win XP Pro. Windows setup starts automatically. But during this loading of the files, i get an error:

ntfs.sys has preformed an unexceptible error (4096)
    in line 5010 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\setup.c.

Please help me out, Is the file curupt? is that last file setup.c should it be setup.exe???

Or is there a way of booting in dos so i can run an FDISK??

Please e-mail me at shorty_jeff@mts.net if you know how to fix this.

    Thank you soo much.
