Nvidia 680i Question

Ok I am going to get the nvidia 680i motherboard and was wondering if I had to get ddr2 1200 RAM. Cause I already have some RAM and would like to put it on the MOBO and 1200 RAM is very expensive. Can I use like ddr2 800 or something. Will I see a dramatic increase in power if I use DDR2 1200. Also I am going to pretty much only game and was wondering if 2gb or memory would be enough for running vista and games and some photoshop.

you could downclock your memory if your bios will allow you, in which i have a 680 board and mine allows me to, but that ram is expensive. I dont see it working stock on these boards
