Nvidia Card Bios 'Ambient Threshold'

Anyone got a REAL definition of this and an explanation why an ambient threshold would be locked at 60 degrees C in the Vid card Bios?

I mean, who designed that? Someone from Mercury?

That would be the threshold for the room tempereature at which the card shuts off to avoid burning out.

60C sounds reasonable to me considering that its a video card although if your room is at 60C I'm guessing you have other problems to worry about besides your video card .
