you cna use your bios to adjust the clock speeds and multipliers. you'd better know what you're doing though, as overclocking can potentially lock up your machine or damage parts.

You can't OC with that MOBO. It is a MOBO that ASUS makes specifically for HP and HP hides BIOS features so you can't change settings. My suggestion is to get a new MOBO if you plan on OC'ing. I had this same MOBO and had to change it to get any kind of features that meant anything. I am interested in your MOBO though because I haven't been able to find a Asus A7V8X-LA that has the Nforce2 chipset, as they all have the VIA KM400A north bridge with the VIA VT8237 South Bridge.
Looks like I found the same board you have. Interesting ;) , Here
Is a link to some info that might help you out.

well
ok i think i know why i get the bsof
i have
Front Side Bus Properties:
Bus Type DEC Alpha EV6
Bus Width 64-bit
Real Clock 167 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 333 MHz
Bandwidth 2666 MB/s

Memory Bus Properties:
Bus Type Dual DDR SDRAM
Bus Width 128-bit
Real Clock 167 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 333 MHz
Bandwidth 5333 MB/s

so can it run @333mhtz x 13.0 multiplier=3.9ghtz? with lots of heat :( ?

but unfortunately my memory:
Memory Type DDR SDRAM
Memory Speed PC2700 (166 MHz)
can only run @ 166mthz

clockgen can adjust the fsb. just need sometihng to adjust the multiplier.so when clockgen adjustes my fsb it also adjustes my memory...DO i have to get better memory? oh yea get some greattttttttttttttttt cooling?
