OMG Big Windows Error please help!!!! "DR is Missing"

Please help me. I was on my computer when a symantec popup comes up and tells me of a Trojan Horse. All of a sudden my icons go black, new wierd icons popup, and my system crashes.

I start it back up and it has a black screen and says " DR is missing. Press CTRL + ALT + Delete to restart ". I restart and its the same! Please help!!

What does Norton say?

Turn off system restore and run your antivirus, ad-aware, spybot, and ewido.
post back with the results.

Go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

Post a fresh HJT log into this thread, only after doing the above.

No i can't. It wont even start up. I turn it on, 3 seconds later it comes to this black screen, saying the DR is missing, and to restart. That's it. It doesn't let me do anything. I cant get into windows at all.

Oh dear, that`s not good.

Try doing a windows repair as per this thread HERE.

If that doesn`t help, it looks like it`s time for a format and reinstall I`m afraid.
