Onboard LAN and USB problems!!

i have a ECS nFORCE3-A939 motherboard. When i try to activate my onboard LAN or disable a Universal Serial Bus Controller my computers reboots instantly.....Why???

Don't know why, but have you tried updating your chipset drivers?

I didn't try to but i have an CD with all the drivers for my motherboard chipsets but that didn't solve the problem......

You should try find newer ones to download.

Are you doing this in the BIOS or in Windows?
