OS screen resolution won't fit laptop monitor

Hey good people, i just have a quick question. I have just re-installed windows xp prof. on my Dell latitude d600 laptop. Everything went well with my installation, but my screen resolution is smaller than the monitor. I'm at 800/600 and it still dosen't fit my laptop monitor. I know there's a way to make it fit the Laptop monitor, but i just cant figure it out. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Right click on a blank part of the desktop and select properties, then the settings tab.

Increase the screen resolution.

click apply/ok.

Thanks, your right, i had a brain fart. I was doing that already, but i just didn't increase the resoultion. Thanks for your help.
