First and foremost, not too sure if this is the right section for this problem. If it isn't I'll move it to the appropriate section.

Had this problem on my outlook 2000 but have upgraded and the problem has persisted.

1) when I start my outlook, the "Page File Usage History" jumps up to 1.92GB causing me to sometimes run out of virtual memory.

2) Also I can't add attachments to my emails from my outlook. The only way to do it is to right click the file and send as attachment.

3) Outlook start-up is very slow.

have removed office and re-installed,prob persists. My PST file size is 254k.

All help appreciated.

Here are four solutions that have worked for different people -

1.Turn off email scanning in your AV.

2.Use the Detect and Repair tool in the help menu.

3.Go to Tools >Accounts >Mail >Properties >Advanced >UNcheck" break apart messages over 60kb"

4.Increase maximum transmission unit as HERE

You could also delete/archive any emails you don`t want,
and don`t use the Inbox as the default start up folder.
