Oveclocking the palomino

hi im a newbie at overclocking and i wanted to overclock my 2000+ palomino.
i have a rubbish motherboard (jetway 830cf) which does not allow the multiplier to be changed from within the bios, so i was wondering if there was any way to make the cpu boot up at 13x or 13.5x without using the bios. i dont know whether the chip is locked or not. i can only increase the fsb to a max of 138 stable. i have adequete cooling so im not worried about the extra heat generated. ive heard that the 2000 and the 2100 chip are different as the bridges have been changed or something.

You can't chagne the multiplier unless you unlock the CPU first. I have a 1600+ Palamino and I can get the FSB to 146 without crashes. I was able to to get a max of 149 on my old EpOX 8KHA before I bought a new mobo.
