Hello
I am been running an overclocked 7950gx2 for quite sometime now.

Currently i am running the 3d clock frequency at 610 Mhz and the memory at 1650 Mhz.

But today it just occurred to me that perhaps I have violated some key ratio so perhaps I can squeeze even more out of the card.

As you can increase 3d clock and the memory frequency independently, is there a ratio I should keep in mind.

I mean if I can increase the 3clock by 10%, should I always try to increase the memory of the same amount, or doesn't that matter?

Would love to hear from you more experienced overclockers

Edit: By the way, the factory settings for my card was 520 MHz for the 3d core and 1300 MHz for the memory

That's a pretty good overclock, and no there is no "overclocking ratio" to keep in mind. Just overclock core and memory to as far as they will go and have fun :)

Just like MetalX said "That's a pretty good overclock"

You dont have to follow any ratio but all you have to do is keep the memory & core at a reasonable MHz ( Not like 78645312465MHz for the card :haha: )
