hi,
i m batman

well, the major problem i m facing these days is a DDR RAM PROBLEM

i have a 128 DDR RAM which was working fine; but then from last month it is stating to sho errors

i m using Microsoft Windows XP home....while i m loading HALO or playing any game or simply scaning my PC through an antivirus;
The system automatically reboots and says

"windows recovered from serious error "
or
the blue death screen
says
Memory dump error
STOP : 0x00000001 (0x00000004,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x804ec062)

i guess the problem is it the memory chip

but shouli replace it???
or is there any software/tools that can fix it??

please help

Try updating you videocard drivers first 128megs of ram to play halo that is min specs for that game .. Try updating your videocard drivers first if this does not work download read and install this program to test your memory..

Hi Pambatman,

with refer to the Memory dump error
STOP : 0x00000001 (0x00000004,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x804ec062)

Bugcheck code 1 is APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. I'm afraid the bugcheck code should be D1 --> DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL which may be related to faulty memory error. Attach 3 to 4 minidumps here and I will process the dumps to confirm wether is a hardware problem or not. You can find the minidump at the folder \windows\minidump\*.dmp

with reffernce to memory dump

Hi CPC2004,

I am facing the same memory dump problem. I am attaching the minidump files in zip format. kindly help me out as even if i try installing office its dumping.

Kannut this thread was 3 years ago :).

I will try to help you, All MiniDumps cite the Driver "FDCBNT.SYS" which seems to be related to Easy File and Folder Protection, it seems to be Clashing with Norton Software since it cites this Driver "SYMEVENT.SYS" 4 times out of the 6 MiniDumps you uploaded.

Please decide which 1 you want to remove, either Remove "Easy File..." and find a Alternative or Remove Norton and use the Software removal tool on Their Website to remove the Remnants and then Install either AVG, Avira or Avast. And see if the Problem clears up.

Avira - http://www.free-av.com/
Avast - http://www.avast.com/
