I built a 2.4GHz P4 computer w/ an ECS P4VXAD+ mobo, 80GB Western Digital hard drive, and a Sony DVD Burner about 2 years ago. It has worked flawlessly since, except for last week when I started having hard drive issues. My diagnostics told me that my drive was going south, fast, so I backed it up and attempted to replace it with another 80GB WD. Now when I turn the machine on, it runs the memory test, very slowly I might add, and freezes as soon as it's completed... never showing me my devices or raid configuration or anything. I cannot even begin to relaod the OS as it never gets that far.
Does anyone know anything about this type of behavior?
