P5NE Sli Windows Load Problems

ASUS P5NE Sli
Intel E6320 Conroe 1.86
1GB x 2 Crucial CT2KIT12864AA80E
350 Antec Earthwatts PS
ASUS X1550 Radeon 256MB
HITACHI Deskstar 7K160
Sony NEC AWG170S-B2
Windows XP Pro (no serivce pack)

Boot just fine runs first part of installation finds HDD and formats/copys files but after reboot when it comes to the Windows Splash Logo it just loads and loads theres no HDD activity what so ever. Tried setting up XP with an IDE HDD and it worked just fine. I've tried moving RAM to Black slots setting timing manually. Haven't gotten to flashing BIOS. This is my 2nd home built system so any help would be appreciated. . And Sorry if I forgot some info. .

flashing the bios should have been the first thing you did. Use a floppy drive.
ensure your SATA drivers are handy when installing windows. Asus is also VERY picky about brands/types of ram. Read the upgrading ram guide in the guides forum.
