Parts of administrative tools dissapeared

.it seems every time windows installs a new update some of my administrative tools disappear like.is there a way to retrieve them? has anyone else had this problem?thanks

Hi,
I didn't know about that, anyway i really have no clue of how to restore them but i would think of windows restoration tool
Start menu + All programs + Accessories + System tools + system restore

I know its not the best but nothing to do, that windows, if it were for linux i would have a command that would fix only the tool.

Which part of the Administrative Tools is missing? Windows Update shouldn't affect them.

i didnt think so either computer management.for one.

Is the icon missing from the Administrative Tools program group or is it really the entire computer management function that is gone?

What happens when you right-click My Computer and select "Manage"?

Are you taking this path:

Control Panel> Administrative Tools ?? That should give you choice of:
Component Services
Computer Management
Data Sources
Event Viewer Performance
Services
