PC does not save my touch pad settings

I set my pointer speed from Control Panel / Printers and other hardware / Mouse / Pointer Options. I increase my pointer speed. but when pc restarts the settings becomes default. So pointer slows down again. How can i make the computer save my settings?

who is your touch pad manufacturer?
If it is Synaptics, then go to their website. Download the latest drivers, and install them. Everything will work properly then. I had the exact same problem!

Thanks alot NFSFAN. The problem was because of Logitech Mouse. It is recommended at the website of Synaptics to uninstall the other pointing devices.
