PC freezes

I upgraded a pc from p3 to p4. What is happening now is I am trying to play a movie in Cyber link DVD palyer. But it wont play. I have enough ram(512). PC freezes when click play. My IDE cables are up to date. Master/Slave are properly placed.

Is that the only time that your computer freezes? or does it freeze when you do other things? Is all of your drivers up to date? List your specs...

Welcome to TechSpot! Congratulations on your recent upgrade from a P3 setup to a P4 setup, however that upgrade has nothing to do with your problem.

we need some more info on your system. specifically the operating system you are running, the video card you are running, and what drivers you are using with it.
