PC just... stopped

Hello there,

I was burning some music to a disk & the PC just stopped working... the last I heard was the fans dying down.

I've tested the plugs... no fuse blown & no problem with the cable itself. When I try and turn the PC on there is no activity, not even the power light turns on so I'm thinking it's the PSU on the case. Does this make sense?

Or could a failure in the mobo also stop the power light working?

Any help an suggestions would be received gratefully.

It sounds like your PSU just died but just to make sure, if you've got a spare power "cable" around, try that out. I've had them go bad occasionally.

It is most likely the power supply, but a board would also cause this problem.

Cheers guys... hopefully the HD is safe, that's what I'm counting on.

I've ordered a better case & PSU and a different processor fan ('cause the old one never did the proc any justice.)
