PC not detecting rear speakers

Hi Guys,

I just bought the Logitech Z-5500D and have set it up.
The motherboard in the PC is the Gigabyte P35-DQ6 that has on board support of 7.1 channel. The sound system knows that the speakers are setup and when testing them sound will come out. But when I plug the jack in the PC detects that, but not the fact that they are the Rear Speakers.

Is there anything that I can look at doing?

This is a Logitech problem. Have you talked to them?

have you tried going into control panel and going to the sound manager

Testing Sound

There are many ways to test sound and you must set the sound card
options to what you have connected.This is often changed and needs to
be checked often.I just had to fix mine.Audigy 4.
