PC recently started crashing ...Mem Test Error

Hi,

I have a pretty new PC that recently started crashing when I used a certain application. So, I decided to do a memtest based on some advice.

The memtest has been running for close to 2 hours now and here is a screenshot I took just recently:

Can anyone tell me what this error means or what I need to do to fix it?

I have 4 memory sticks in my PC.

Any errors during memtest is a bad sign. How far along in that 1st pass were you? There may have been several more errors that you didn't allow it to get to.

In any case, you could try relaxing your timings, I'm not sure that will do anything, but might be worth a shot. Then run memtest overnight and as long as you can afford to, if you get several error free passes then you may have solved the problem, if you don't, then send the RAM back, it should have a lifetime warranty.

you have failed ram. replace the ram with an EXACT replacement.
