Pc Will Not Read Floppy Drive!

Hi, My PC will not read the floppy drive when i insert a floppy disk, i have always had this problem since i bought the pc from a friend, and thoguht the drive may have been broken, so i bought a brand new floppy drive but still same problem! the drive shows up in my computer and everything seems to be fine except the fact it can never recognise a floppy in it! please help

Check in the BIOS (press the Del-key at startup) to see if the floppy is ENabled.
Also, when you insert the floppy in the drive, make sure you hear the "click" of the floppy "latching" in the drive.
