best just to uninstall re-install
the uninstaller may give you option to repair
putting the program in to deep of folders can cause this
like MS programs
adobe likes C drive better

after uninstall look for left over reg files and other stuff
adobe has a cleaner for the newer cs3 they may have one for version 7
try CCcleaner free to use may help with leftover junk
hope this is not pirated stuff as your on yer own and if your open to net adobe has you logged
