please help, i'm on my notebook because my internet won't work on my desktop. it's the same line so i'm sure there's no problem w/ the internet itself, just wth my computer.

i boot my computer up and the internet works for 3 seconds, then said it lost connection, and then it connects again, but doesn't work, the lights on the two computers icon (at the bottom right of the screen) keep blinking off and on every three seconds.

my internet works fine on the notebook, please help

i'mn ot too good w/ computers, so all I can think of is, it's either a virus or a problem w/ my LAN , i don't have a LAN card, it's actually decked on my motherboard.

I ran adaware, virus programs, removed the bad stuff, but still this is happening.

this is my hijack this log, please please please help =D

Hello

I think this may be the cause:

C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe

This process has been known to cause internet and bootup problems. Try ending it and see what is does.

Well, i would say power cycle your modem, then plug back in, and if it dosent work uninstall your ethernet adapter in Device manager, then reboot. Then go into run type cmd==>ipconfig /release===>ipconfig /renew if that dosent work then hmm wait on it. Do you have verizon DSL?

And Daemon.exe is nothing bad, its daemon tools, used a a virtural drive like for ISO's.

hmm, you have regular processes, nothing bad, but stuff you dont need like justschd, ipodservice, and a couple other.

popping on and off could be a physical thing too. Take a look with a flashlight at the physical port on your computer. Make sure the contacts are all flush together and strait, and that none are stuck backwards or bent. It happens sometimes.

Otherwise, we can dig deeper into your HJT log. Which, by the way, you need to save the log and ZIP it and post it as an ATTACHMENT in your thread. Not post the whole contents like that.

Good luck!

Dude, there is some pretty nasty stuff in that HJT you've provided, namley one file npkcsvc.exe, which is known to be a BAD downloader.

After you've done all those suggested above, please do the following, read and follow all the instructions given, and if you're stuck on something, post the problem here and move on to the next step. You can continue using this current thread to post your new hjt (although its up to the mods if they decide to split/move this thread or not), but tradition tells to create a new thread in the security and the web section. But all in all, Don't forget to post your HJT as a .txt attachment.....

Follow these instructions BEFORE posting your HJT log.
