Ok im saving money for a cpu, video card and maybe extra ram.

I want to keep my motherboard and see whats the best cpu i can put in it
Motherboard = nforce2 400-a http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Produc...LanID=0&DetailID=380&DetailName=Specification

Ram = one stick of generic 1 gig 3200. This motherboard can hold another 1 gig and maybe i can get another 1 gig of generic again :) i dont see any diffrence from name brand. Is there a diffrence?

Cpu = Sempron 2800+. I think this cpu sucks for gaming. Im thinking of getting a barton 3200+ or anything higher if my motherboard can handle. Whats the best Cpu for this system?

Video card = 9200 radeon. Im thinking of getting one of the newer video cards like 6800 or x800. But with the cpu and ram i have what do you think would fit with this system. I was leaning for a 6600gt because i was thinking i didnt need all the power of a 6800 or x800 and it would of been wasted.

Case = Generic crap. I found a pretty good site and i think the prices are good for the power supply. Can ya help pick one. :)

That should be it.. Dont think i left anything out. I have the cd drive and hard drive ect.. No sound card though. Do you really need one? Does it help run games smoother?
Thanks for the help

Id skip any Sempron under 3100+. Any XP 2500 and up will work great. Most will overclock to a 400mhz bus. Thats a good way to turn a 2500 into a 3200. The Radeon 9600 XT's and 9800 Pros have really dropped in price. Im not familiar with the newer ones. Onboard sound can cause problems in gaming because they use the CPU and other resourses. You can get a SB Live Digital online for $20. I have your board in my second PC. The sound is pretty good but I havent done any serious gamming with it.
