hi, i'm new to the site, but i have a problem and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out the problem.
i have an emachines w2646 and it recently "died" on me. my husband and i had it on all night, turned the monitor off and woke up to just the control panel for the monitor on the screen.... the weird thing is, that the green light around the power button was still lit. (not sure on the other specs of computer but could find out)
could this be a possible power supply problem or something seriously worse? the only problem is i don't want to have to waste money on a new power supply when thats not going to fix the problem....
any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
