Power supply confusion

just wondering if you guys could help. my pc currently has a bestec 250w power supply. my pc spec is:

3.4ghz prescott.
Intel® 848P chipset
P4SD-LA (Oxford) motherboard


i have ordered a sweex 650 power supply as i have bought a new graphics card x1950 pro i used to be running on a ge force 6800gt with the 250w power supply and it ran ok incredibly, but the card will no longer work right after too much OC im wondering tho now because its too late for me to cancel my order for the 650w psu whether it will actually connect to my motherboard and if it did, will it fry the board?

It should connect, no it won't overpower anything. The components will only draw what they need.

You can run as high a power supply as you want. The components that need power will take what they need.
