printer sharing...again

Hello everybody. i have question if someone would kindly would help me out on, i have two pc's both running windows xp home edition and my printer is a HP photosmart inkjet with usb connection i would like to network the the two machine also file share as well. i'm have a 4 port linksys router. now anyone who knowledge or great insight bout this matter please share. if you can provide links, photo or step by step. thank you most kindly.

If the printer doesn't have network capabilities you either need a print server or a router with a print server. Otherwise you'll need the machine connected to the printer to be turned on when you want to print from the other machine.

JMMD pretty much has it covered there. Pretty simple to do when you know where to look for the settings. If you have any problems and have any IM software you can message me and I try and help you step through the process.
