Problem burning DVDs with Nero

I'm trying to help my friend's dad burn DVDs using Nero 7. He bought it new at Best Buy and I installed it. I took a couple of files off of his computer, mp3 files and one movie, and put them in Nero. Everything was going fine until the very end it says "Burn Failed". Is anyone else having a problem like this and did they fix it? Any suggestions?

Try a different brand of media (dvd/cd) first. If that doesn't fix it then uninstall and reinstall Nero with nothing else running on the computer IE: Anti-virus, firewall etc.....

I had BAD problems with Nero 7!!
so i use nero 6 and that works much better
i am affrade he bought the wrong nero.
