problem connecting to internet

can someone help i just got my compaq back from the repair shop and i tryed connecting to the internet using my speedtouch modem and it says page cannot be displayed i have phone customer services and they told me lots of things to try and fix it but none of them worked, so they said that something needed to be reinstalled, but i dont know what it is can any1 help. pc info in user profile its the first pc on the list.

It would be very easy if you could say exactly what it is they told you to re-install.If you look in Device manger > Hardware you might see a red X/ Yellow exclamation mark, over one of the hardware items.
