Hello, I changed from a an XP1600 to an XP1700 today the XP 1700 overclocked like crazy, 2 ghz. Detected it as a XP2000
I flashed the AMI Bios from 5.5 to 5.7 after 2 hours or so so it would see the "XP2400" .
Flashed fine, when I rebooted XP gets to the load screen and the video goes blank right before the blue XP login screen.
I can get to safe mode...? I reloaded the Video drivers, changed settings in the Bios PCI/AGP (card is AGP) Default and so on. Finally reflashed to 5.5. Booted into Xp and crashed after 1-2 minutes. Now I'm back on the same Safe mode or blank screen routine. Anyone know what's up?
