Problem with add/remove programs windows XP sp2

I have recently opened my add/remove programs and I get a small list of programs the large black lines that seem to go on forever then at the end I have a couple more prograams listed. Any clue on what this is or how to fix it? Please feel free to email me...Thanks Cheryl

Sounds more like an optical than a technical problem.
Make sure you have the latest version of your graphics card drivers installed.
Could also be that one specific program made a bad entry.
Write down all the names you can still see there, and compare it with the list of programs that you have installed yourself (as seen as part of Start/Programs).
The odd one out is the black sheep (litterally).
