Problem with monitor

Hey i have a 19 inch flat panel dell monitor model no 1901FP.....my problem is a lock is shwoing up on the screen when i turn it on,well the screen is blank and if i push any of the buttons to mess with the contrast it shows a lock...is there anyone to fix this? can it be unlocked

maybe the settings are locked to prevent accidental pressing of the buttons, is there a menu button you can press, chances are there is an unlock option in it, some menu's appear by pressing the power on button for a couple of seconds, others have there own button.
