problem with Philips webcam

I have a problem with my webcam – the Philips ToUCam Pro PCVC740K. All still images (twain-)captured into Photoshop 6, Paint Shop Pro 7, or Ulead Photo Explorer 6 are blue – red or green hues do not seem to be acquired. However the same images captured by SpotLife, a bare-bones program bundled with the camera, are rendered correctly.

All drivers all the latest versions. There is, in fact, a note in the readme file of the latest 740K driver package stating that it fixes this very problem – it is not fixed!. But the problem may lie with my settings. Philips has ignored all of my requests for assistance.

My system is W2K Pro SP2, ASUS A7M266 MB, AMD 1.33GHz, 512 Mb Ram, Hercules GF3 graphics card, 18 inch Eizo LCD monitor used via DVI, latest Pivot software enables the monitor to be used in vertical (portrait) position.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on this problem, because I don’t have a clue where to start.
