Problem with Simcity 4, Quits unexpectedly

Hi all, i have been having a problem succesfully running simcity 4 on my computer. It starts and runs fine for about 30 or 40 minutes but then it quits unexpectedly to the desktop without any errors or warnings. I have tried reinstalling the game, applying the latest patch, updating my video drivers and even took one memory module out of my computer that doesnt match the other 2. Could this problem be caused by my video card or my RAM? or is there some other reason for these random quits?

I really wanna get this game running again as i am somewhat addicted to it

When you say no errors or warnings are you talking about messages that pop up or the ones in event viewer?

My system specs are:

CPU: Intel Pentium III 800Mhz with SSE
RAM: 256MB SDRAM PC133
HDD: 10GB Seagate ST310014A
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 256 DDR 32mb AGP 4x
OS: Microsoft Windows 98SE

These are above the minimum requirements for the game.

It could be due to a few things, but I would check out overheating first. I believe Everest is a good program.

Sometimes, the minimum system requirements are not really minimum, though.
