Problems reinstalling my Radeon 9200 driver

I finally found the disk. But when I go to set up, I get this message:

Setup was unable to complete the installation.Try to set up you display adaptor with a standar VGA driver before running setup.

The questions are, how do I do this, and do I need to? Or what else could I do to get that driver loaded?

First download Driver cleaner from HERE. Go to your add remove programmes, and uninstall any ATI entries. Read the instructions, then run the cab cleaner first, followed by driver cleaner. Now reboot your system.

After you have finished, go HERE and download and install the latest drivers for your card.

I tried your suggestions, but I'm still getting the same error message. Any other ideas?
